Matt Shaw brings over two decades of experience in airport operations and aviation safety to his role as Operations Director at Isle of Man Airport. With 22 years of dedicated service, he has held several key positions, including Accountable Manager for Safety and Security, and previously, Head of Airport Fire & Rescue and Emergency Planning.

In his current role, Matt oversees the day-to-day operational decisions at Isle of Man Airport, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant coordination of all airside and landside activities. He is committed to maintaining high standards while navigating the dynamic challenges of airport operations, and he credits the dedication and professionalism of the airport’s teams - both those on the ground and behind the scenes - as essential to delivering a safe, reliable, and continually improving service for passengers, staff, and stakeholders.

Education: Matt has completed extensive training in aviation safety, operational oversight, and regulatory frameworks. His qualifications enable him to manage complex Airport systems while ensuring full compliance with both local and international aviation standards. He remains actively engaged in professional development to stay ahead of evolving industry requirements.
