This year’s opening was be attended by His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor Sir John Lorimer and Lady Lorimer, alongside the Lord Bishop and other distinguished guests. Visitors enjoyed festive drinks and nibbles, followed by a special performance of traditional carols from the King William’s College Choir, continuing a cherished tradition.

The evening also feature the judging of the beautifully decorated trees by an independent panel. Now that the Festival is open, members of the public are invited to cast their votes for their favourite tree via a dedicated postbox in the terminal. Voting will remain open until the exhibition closes after New Year, with winners announced at a prize-giving event in January at the Terminus Tavern.

“The Christmas Tree Festival is a wonderful way to bring the community together and share the joy of the season with everyone travelling through the Airport,” said Dawn Taylor, Advertising and Communication Manager at Isle of Man Airport. “We’re thrilled to see so many organisations taking part and look forward to welcoming visitors to enjoy the festive display.
