Touch Down and Tour the Island: New Summer 2026 Escorted Trips Announced

Looking for an alternative to a cruise but want to explore new places or discover the Isle of Man again. The Isle of Man is easy to reach by flying from across the UK, with flights from London, Newquay, Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Bristol, Edinburgh, Dublin and More. Flights are frequent, and journey times are short, like from Liverpool and Manchester which is around 40–45 minutes

Once you arrive, the Island offers diverse scenery, coastal views, rich wildlife and UNESCO Biosphere credentials, with over 10,000 years of history to explore.

For summer 2026, visitors can now combine their journey with a return to classic, fully escorted sightseeing.

“Old Fashioned Tourism” Returns for Summer 2026

VisitIOM, operated by Mann Link Travel, has announced two new full‑day escorted coach tours, delivered in partnership with local operator Opul Coaches. These tours launch in May 2026 and mark the first scheduled full‑day sightseeing programme for independent travellers in many years.

Each tour is fully guided by highly qualified Isle of Man Blue Badge Guides, offering an experience inspired by the traditional grand tour format that has been popular with cruise passengers but now available with the convenience of a Flight.

Southern Splendour

A nostalgic full‑day trip including:

Steam Railway journey to Castletown
Guided visits to the Old House of Keys and Castle Rushen
A scenic drive through Cregneash to The Sound
Return via Port Erin and the “Plains of Heaven”

Northern & Western Wonders

A discovery tour featuring:

The Laxey Wheel
Manx Electric Railway journey to Ramsey
Afternoon visit to Peel’s House of Manannan
Stop at Tynwald Hill, St John’s
