Starlink Wi-Fi To Take Off From Isle of Man On New Tenerife Charter Flights

Published: 26 October 2026

C. I. Travel Group is proud to announce its new charter partner for direct flights from the Isle of Man to Tenerife this autumn, winter and Easter holiday season. airBaltic was the first European airline to offer ultra-fast, free SpaceX Starlink Wi-Fi on its flights and will provide the same onboard connectivity to passengers flying from the Isle of Man to the sun.

After six years of successfully offering direct services from the Isle of Man to Europe’s favourite holiday destinations, the new partnership has brought a higher level of comfort and convenience. airBaltic will operate the Starlink Wi-Fi equipped Airbus A220-300 on the route, bringing the aircraft to the Isle of Man for the first time.

Alexander Devlin, C. I. Travel Group’s Director, said: “For Isle of Man residents who have long appreciated the convenience of direct flights, we are confident that this new partnership with airBaltic will further enhance the standards of service and comfort that FlyDirect clients have come to expect. With the added benefit of airBaltic’s free Starlink Wi-Fi, you can stream and watch your favourite movies at 35,000 feet. The A220-300’s five-seat rows offer wider seats than the six-seat configuration found on many other aircraft. Direct flights also reduce the cost and time involved in reaching your destination, without the added risk of missing a connection.”

Mark Beveridge, Airport Director at Isle of Man Airport, commented: “It’s great to see another airline tail at Isle of Man Airport as we welcome airBaltic for FlyDirect’s Tenerife flights. Their modern aircraft and onboard Wi-Fi will help passengers enjoy a comfortable journey.”

The first Airbus A220-300 departed today ( Monday 26th October ). It will operate a weekly rotation on Sundays to and from Tenerife during half term, from the Christmas period until the end of February and over the Easter school holidays.
