Published: 09 April 2026

Island travellers dreaming of warm beaches, bright skies and a winter escape have even more to look forward to this year. FlyDirect is launching an extended winter 2026–27 programme of direct flights from the Isle of Man to Tenerife, complete with a brand‑new airline partner and more departure dates than ever before.

Following another strong season of winter sun travel, demand for easy, direct access to the Canary Islands continues to grow. In response, FlyDirect has expanded its offer to include 17 departure dates, covering some of the most sought‑after travel moments of the year-October and February half‑term, Christmas, New Year and Easter.

Flights will be operated by airBaltic using their Airbus A220 aircraft, giving travellers the opportunity to start their holiday in comfort. Expect greater legroom, excellent onboard service and free Starlink Wi‑Fi from take‑off to landing. With a flight time of around 4 hours 40 minutes, this is one of the most effortless ways to reach the warmth of the Canaries.

With return flights starting from £499 per adult and child discounts of up to £100, families and winter‑sun seekers can enjoy exceptional value. Every fare includes 23kg of hold baggage, with no extra fees for sports equipment -ideal for anyone planning sport activities or simply packing generously for a longer stay.

Travellers will have the flexibility to choose 7‑ and 14‑night holidays, with several dates offering extended durations and even one‑way options for those seeking a more tailored trip.

C.I. Travel Group’s Managing Director, Robert Mackenzie, said: “Demand for flying direct to the winter sun, remains stronger than ever. As a result we have extended our programme to include both February half-term and the Easter holidays.

“We are delighted to be working with a new airline partner this year. The airBaltic Airbus A220 aircraft offer greater leg room, excellent on-board service as well as free on-board Starlink Wifi. We believe both our regular clients to Tenerife and new customers will be delighted with the airline’s service.”

Isle of Man Airport’s Commercial Director, Hannah Lo Bao, added:
“Flights to Tenerife will operate on Sundays, with a mid-afternoon departure from the Isle of Man. The flight time is approximately 4 hours 40 minutes. In addition to offering 7 & 14 night durations, on several dates longer durations are available as well as one-way flights for those seeking greater flexibility.”

The programme goes on sale Thursday, 9th April, giving Isle of Man residents the chance to secure their winter sunshine early.
