Isle of Man Airport Achieves Strong Summer Punctuality Performance

Published: 23 December 2025

As we look back on the summer season, it’s great to reflect on a strong period for the Airport. Despite the challenges winter weather can bring, the summer months delivered a brighter performance for airport punctuality.

Isle of Man Airport has recorded significant improvements in punctuality and operational resilience during summer 2025, according to new data from the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

Across the peak holiday months of July to September, the airport achieved an on-time performance of 76%, ranking third out of 25 airports - just behind Aberdeen (78%) and Liverpool (77%).

For the entire summer period ( 1st April 2025 - 30th September 2025), the airport ranked fifth overall, with an on-time performance of 79%.

This strong performance reflects a sustained effort by Airlines, Handlers and the Airport to reduce delays, enhance reliability, and improve the passenger experience. Compared with previous summer seasons, 2025 saw fewer high-disruption days, reduced variability in average delay minutes, and a competitive cancellation rate relative to similar-sized regional airports.

The Latest Figures Show a Clear Upward Trend:

  • 2025 (Summer 1st April 2025- 30th September): 79% on-time performance, 0.9% cancellations
  • 2024 (Full Year): 68% on-time, 20-minute average delay, 3.9% cancellations
  • 2023 (Full Year): 64.7% on-time, 29-minute average delay, 5.2% cancellations
